Use public transport this New Year’s Eve

Heading out this New Year’s Eve? Using public transport is the best way to travel.

Newcastle Transport will run additional services this New Year’s Eve to take you to the Newcastle CBD and back again.

 

Light rail

Services will run every 7.5 minutes up until 10:30pm and will run regularly until 1am.

Bus

Frequent routes 11, 12, 13 and 14 will run every 15 minutes until 7pm. After this time there will be extra frequent route services until 3am on Thursday 1 January.

  • Route 11: Newcastle – Jesmond

  • Route 12: Newcastle – Wallsend

  • Route 13: Newcastle – Glendale

  • Route 14: Newcastle – Charlestown – Swansea Heads

Ferry

Ferry services will operate to the regular weekday timetable. Don’t forget the 55N route can get you home too.
