Being COVID Safe while using public transport this summer is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Plan ahead by checking the capacity of your service before you board, avoid peak travel times, wearing a mask while on board and sitting or standing on a green dot.

Christmas with Newcastle Transport

The Christmas bus is back for another year. Newcastle Transport On Demand is sporting bright red Rudolph noses. Our trams have been transformed into Santa's reindeer. There's lots of Christmas cheer to be found across the Newcastle Transport network!

Customers can now plan their trip

From Sunday 13 December, there will be improvements to Newcastle Transport bus services across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Customers can now view new timetables and maps on the Newcastle Transport website.

Light Rail Service Changes 27 – 30 November

From 8pm on Friday 27 November until 5am on Monday 30 November, light rail services will not run due to Hunter Water sewer main repair work.

Improvements for Newcastle Transport bus services

Changes to Newcastle Transport services will come into effect from Sunday 13 December to improve reliability and provide more services to the community.

Tri Nations Rugby comes to McDonald Jones Stadium

Use Newcastle Transport to get to the Tri Nations games at McDonald Jones Stadium this November. Free bus services for match goers will run every 15 minutes from two hours prior to kick off from selected bus stops along the route.
