Customers can now plan their trip

From Sunday 13 December, there will be improvements to Newcastle Transport bus services across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Keolis Downer Hunter, General Manager, Mark Dunlop said the annual network improvements aimed to ensure Newcastle Transport continued to meet the needs of the community with improved reliability and more services.

“Bus timetables, including some school bus services, have had their timings tweaked to improve the efficiency of the network for our customers.

“There have also been additional trips introduced each week to improve frequency on some services and provide greater travel options for customers.”

“We have also extended the route 23 to Newcastle East, providing a direct connection for Newcastle East residents to Marketown, in response to customer feedback.”

“There will be changes to most timetables and some bus routes, customers can now plan ahead by checking their timetable.”

“I encourage our customers to head to newcastletransport.info or their favourite travel app to plan their new trip.

“Our Customer Service Officers can also provide personalised assistance, to assist both existing customers and those new to public transport, via our virtual travel concierge or at the Newcastle Interchange.”
