The Union (RTBU) has advised that no Newcastle Transport bus services will operate for 24 hours from 4am Friday 12 December to 4am Saturday 13 December due to industrial action.
This includes:
• Regular bus services
• School services
• Night Owl Saturday services
Services will resume from approximately 4am Saturday 13 December.
Bus routes affected: 10X, 11, 12, 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48 and all school services.
Plans are in place to ensure bus services return to regular operation as quickly as possible after the action ends.
Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternative transport options during this time.
Schools have been notified to ensure parents and carers can arrange alternative travel plans for students.
