Bus diversions in CBD on 24 August

On Sunday 24 August, between 1:30pm and 2:30pm, some Newcastle Transport bus services will be diverted to allow for a planned march through King Street, between Darby Street and Auckland Street.

• Shuttle 1 (Knights) services will divert via Darby Street, Hunter Street, Steel Street and back onto King Street before continuing their normal route.
• Routes 11 and 13 outbound will divert via Darby Street and Hunter Street before rejoining their normal route.
• Routes 11 and 13 inbound will remain on Hunter Street, then travel via Darby Street and King Street before resuming their normal route.
• Route 22 inbound will continue along Stewart Avenue, turn left onto Hunter Street and finish at Newcastle Interchange.
• Route 23 inbound will travel via Hunter Street and Darby Street before returning to King Street.
• Route 23 outbound will divert via Darby Street, Hunter Street and Tudor Street before continuing its normal route.

All other bus services will operate as normal, although short delays may occur while the march moves through intersections.
