Women’s State of Origin for 2026 will be kicking off at McDonald Jones Stadium on 30 April 2026.
Fans heading to the Queensland v New South Wales NRLW match are encouraged to take advantage of convenient bus services operating to the venue.
Stadium shuttles
Free stadium shuttles will commence at 5.58pm and will run at regular intervals prior to kick off from selected bus stops along the route. Return services will run for around 30 minutes after full-time until 9.45pm.
- Stadium shuttle 1 – Newcastle CBD
- Stadium shuttle 2 – Charlestown/Belmont
- Stadium shuttle 3 – Glendale
- Stadium shuttle 4 – Wallsend
- Stadium shuttle 5 – Mayfield

Regular buses
You can also catch any of our regular bus services to the game. Regular routes 27, 13, 23, 25 and 26 run towards the stadium.
The closest bus stops to the stadium are on Turton Road and Lambton Rd.
